Mother Earth,     By Olivia

I am learning to write.

Remember to:

  • plan using a graphic organiser
  • write several simple and compound sentences using different sentence beginnings
  • try words I don't know using rhyme, blends, digraphs, chunks and letter sounds
  • use a variety of simple conjunctions correctly such as and, but, because, then and so
  • improving my writing  by checking it makes sense and my punctuation and spelling is correct

Spiky grass, rainbows shooting up high, dancing waterfalls, animals playing, volcanoes erupting, people laughing, and babies crying and sparkling water are on earth. Mother Earth is a peaceful place to be with all the things we need to survive.
Food, air, water, clothes and shelter is what we need. We are lucky to live on earth. I love earth.

  1. I love the descriptive words you have used in your writing. You are beginning to use a graphic organiser to plan. Remember to check punctuation is in the correct place. I like the way you reread your writing and did some improving.
When I read your writing I could picture earth in my head and felt glad that I live on it.

"She did a little bit of improving, I can see the green pen," said NIna," but she didn't highlight her spelling tries. She made earth sound wonderful."
